CROOKS & CASTLES x VANS - FREMONT HIGH

Crooks & Castles have updated their website with pictures of the final version of the Fremont High, which is their highly-anticipated collaboration with Vans. These shoes will be made available in very limited quantities during Spring 2009 and will also release in Black as well. There is no set release date as of yet, but if you want to catch these, you have to be quick. Stay tuned.

IN4MATION HOLIDAY 2008 CUT&SEW ITEMS

It hasn’t been very long since we last presented you In4mation’s Holiday 2008 Lookbook. Today we bring to you the items featured within the lookbook, in a detailed manner. In my opinion, this is In4mation’s most solid line yet. Items releasing under the Holiday 2008 Cut&Sew Collection will be button-ups, flannels, crewnecks, zip-up hoodies, a varsity jacket, denim, pants, and much more. These items are available now, so hop to it!

Starks Checkers via Holiday

My favorite streetwear company of all-time Starks has arrived for the holiday season. Their latest drop, the checkered lace. Much like our holiday “Checkers” fitted the Starks laces are in homage to LV and their damier print. The laces come in two different lengths like all Starks laces. The best part of these laces?? The gold lace ends with the Starks name printed in capitol letters. The perfect way to put some holiday life into your fresh black Johnsons.

RED WING RELEASE VIA HUF

I love when I speak and suddenly it comes to fruition in a light we all can see the greatness. Not really. But if you recall maybe 7 or 8 posts back I compared the premium leather Opening Ceremony chukka boot to a pair of fashion Red Wings?? Fashion Red Wings are not always an easy thing to find, mind you, but here they are. With such quality and heritage embedded in everything laser etch of the insignia, the Red Wing fashion boots are always a worthy purchase. Both these below are currently being released at the almighty HUF in SF, on Sutter. As you can see both are the chukka and feature Red Wings signature sole and the detail contrast stitching. I’m not sure how long they will last up in SF since the weather is appropriate for wear??

CONS

Working for such a dope company gives you the advantage over the competition in some cases and this is one of those cases. Converse has been trying to dive head first in the skate industry for sometime now but to my knowledge there has been less success then they hoped for. I’ve seen a prototype here and there on shoes that they planned to put out for their skate line and as far as aesthetic appreciation, there was minimal. It has been awhile since I’ve seen another mock-up of a Converse skate shoe but what they settled with is impressive considering where they came from. The Converse skate line is appropriately named CONS and so far the shoes to make the preview for their January release date are the CTS (Chuck Taylor Skate) which is only your classical Chuck low with a bulkier body and tongue. The other pair are a mid shoe, the ERX 300 and remind me of the SB mid, which didn’t go over so well, but lets see if CONS can make it work. Don’t worry when they release they will be everywhere you can probably get them at your local grocer.

EMERICA - HOLIDAY 2008 SHOES - THE PARKER

Emerica have really been taking strides to offer very unique looking skate shoes this year, and this new shoe, the Parker, seals the deal. This new mid-top shoe has a very narrow body but is said to be a very comfortable fit and also features a durable ollie area overlay panel. The body is made of suede and rocks a canvas upper, the footbed is made of molded STI™ Foam, has a thin padded tongue and interior, and has a 400 NBS thing rubber cupsole. A very nice shoe with a bit of that old-school flavor. Available now!

UNDFTD x CONVERSE - POORMAN’s WEAPON

In a landmark collaboration, shoe retailer UNDFTD linked up with shoe giant, Converse to produce the Poorman’s Weapon which is a remix of the Hi-Top Chuck’s. The majority of the shoe is construced of black nylon and is contrasted by an orange interior. A very awesome highlight of the shoes features is the removable embroidered patches, much like the New Balance concept. Look for these shoes in early 2009 at UNDFTD and UNDFTD retailers around the globe. These are sick!

Dior LTD YELLOW TIMEPIECE

This one is for Ben. The king of counter clockwise schools me on watches all day and I never have anything to contribution. Well my favorite streetwear company, besides Starks, DIOR has allowed me to do so, with the release of their Chiffre Rouge wrist piece in a limited edition yellow gold version. Truth be told this watch will probably never touch Ben’s wrist for two reasons. First, yellow gold is way to loud and second the mechanics of the watch are not as prestigious as his current watch, so DIOR gets the no go. Needless to say that if I could afford I would of course but somethings come with time.

5 Boro Deck & Wheels x Grotesk Pigeon League REMIX

5 Boro Deck & Wheels x Grotesk Pigeon League REMIX

I told myself that wouldn’t post other artist deck duel unless it was LV and Girl. I figure that will never happen so I decided to break that pack since it was so unreasonable. This deck on the other hand is SWEET. I know that here at the Hundreds we rep California culture until even you are blue in the face but we respect bi-coastal influence into the culture when they are done correctly. Artist, Grotesk, who did a Pigeon League deck for 5 Boros before is back with the 2008 update. This time the features silver accents and comes with wheels. It just goes to show classics can always be re-dropped. No release date yet.
